Germantown, WI – Sixteen I/O points in one 12mm-wide module make WAGO’s 16-point I/O ribbon cable modules one of the most compact solutions for streamlining control-to-machine wiring. The DIN-rail mount modules feature 16 inputs (750-1400), 16 outputs (750-1500) or 8 inputs/8 outputs (750-1502) and an HE10 ribbon cable interface. With the flat ribbon cable, the modules facilitate the use of pre-wired assemblies to minimize wiring time and errors.

The 16-point I/O modules are compatible with WAGO’s interface boards, ranging from an LED-equipped 120VAC to 24VDC input interface board, to a 3.75-in. wide, 16-channel relay interface board featuring 5mm plug-in relays. For additional voltage flexibility, the 16-point I/O modules can pair with select interface boards and connect to any voltage up to 120VAC, 6A. All 16-point I/O modules carry onboard LEDs for status indication and utilize CAGE CLAMP® Spring Pressure Terminations for field connections. WAGO can also design and manufacture custom interface boards.
As part of the fieldbus-independent WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM, the 16-point I/O modules readily integrate into existing WAGO I/O nodes and operate with all WAGO fieldbus couplers/controllers. Extensive monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities are provided via WAGO-I/O-CHECK software.
The 16-Point I/O modules also increase the flexibility of existing Allen-Bradley® Controllers via WAGO’s free Add-On Instructions.0 The instructions enable users to integrate WAGO I/O, including the new 16-point modules, into RS-Logix™ 5000 systems via WAGO fieldbus couplers.

Cumming, GA – AutomationDirect introduces Zip-Port™ multiport junction blocks, that provide time, cost and space savings by allowing multiple sensors to be wired to a single block with one cable connecting to the control panel.
Zip-Port junction blocks are available in field wireable or five-meter cable versions, feature four and five-pin M12 connectors in four, six and eight-port models, and offer a choice of one or two I/O per port. The blocks provide 24 VDC and 120 VDC/AC operation in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +80°C (-4°F to +176°F) and also provide an IP67 degree of protection when all ports are either connected or covered with recommended protective caps.
The five-meter integrated cable series come with three 18-gauge wires for power connection and four to sixteen 22-gauge wires for I/O connections, depending on the number of ports. The field-wireable junction blocks allow the installer the option of using his cables of choice and only the I/O necessary. All Zip-Port models are available with or without power and signal LED indicators.
Prices for the Zip-Ports multiport junction blocks start at $39 and include two spare port caps. Additional caps can be purchased in packs of five for $2.50.

Florence, KY – Balluff’s new line of EtherNet/IP™ machine-mount I/O blocks provides seamless communication down to the sensors and actuators and, along with supporting cables and accessories, offers immediate cost savings with long-term performance.

The comprehensive line of EtherNet/IP™ products includes twelve versions of machine-mount I/O blocks, an IP 67 unmanaged switch, network cables and accessories. At the heart of the line are the I/O blocks. These blocks have a low initial cost per point and are designed to save money over the life of the system with maximum uptime and easy maintenance.
Fast and easy IP addressing can be accomplished using BOOTP/ DHCP, through an IP67 IP Address Plug (IPAP), via a pushbutton display (100 series only), or web pages. Backlit for easy reading, the addressable display shows all the octets of the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address while push buttons allow for easy adjustment of any octet of the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address. Detachable for rapid module replacement, the IPAP stores the module’s addressing information in a convenient quick-disconnect unit.
Certified by ODVA to ensure interoperability, these I/O blocks operate at up to 100 Mbit/s speeds. The Ethernet cordset attachment point uses a rugged metal threaded M12 D-coded port. Balluff also offers a full line of physical media, including M12 (D-code) connectors, RJ45 adapters, bulkheads, and any other accessory to complete an industrial Ethernet installation.
No other industrial network has seen a growth explosion like Industrial Ethernet. The rapid growth is fueled by the seamless communication from plant level down to the sensors and actuators. With high-speed, deterministic throughput and the proven reliability of the physical layer, Industrial Ethernet networks will continue to grow for years to come.
EtherNet/IP™ has become a popular network for connecting field devices to centralized control solutions from Allen Bradley™ and other suppliers. EtherNet/IP™ allows designers to seamlessly integrate a broad range of compatible connectivity products from many manufacturers.
