			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (<a href="http://www.vishay.com/">www.vishay.com</a>) has proudly announced the release of its latest linear position sensor that features non-contacting Hall effect technology.</p>
<p>Offered with a spring return system, the 20 LHE can cover short electrical strokes of up to 10 mm. It has also been optimised making it ideal for applications in harsh environments requiring sensors with long service life.</p>
<p>Its Hall effect technology provides the sensor the ability to perform in conditions with up to 50 G shocks and high-frequency vibrations of up to 20 G. The device offers a long service life of 10 million cycles, making it ideally suited for short stroke measurements in various industrial applications such as tillers heads for forklifting steering, truck tilt sensors, tractor gear shifts as well as pedal displacement and pressure measurement systems.</p>

<p>In addition, the linear position sensor provides accurate linearity down to ±1 percent. It also provides digital PWM output or analog ratiometric, while offering continuous performance for the device’s life with no drift of linearity.</p>
<p>The 20 LHE operates with supply current of &lt; 16 mA typical and a supply voltage of 5 V ± 10 percent, it also can withstand + 20 V overvoltages to &#8211; 10 V reverse voltages. For PWM output and analog output, the recommended load resistance stands at 1 kW. The device has complied with RoHS directive 2002/95/EC.</p>

<p>Igus said the plastic bearings will replace the re-circulating ball bearings, which need frequent re-calibration and maintenance. As a result, the DryLin R linear bearings can save up to US$36,000 per year.</p>

It is also corrosion-resistant and self-lubricating, making it an ideal choice for barren environment where the analysers are being used.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the company’s comprehensive line of DryLin R linear bearings as well as its guide systems, do not need external grease or oils, becoming an important feature for medical laboratories and helps keep the environment free from any contaminants.</p>
<p>Igus noted that its products are also necessary in determining the physical characteristics of solid and powder materials in areas like nanotechnology, cosmetics, polymer science and pharmacology. The chemisorptions and physisorption analyzers are designed to bring reliable and consistent determinations related to pore structure, active metals and surface area for R&amp;D applications and quality controls.</p>
<p>Furthermore, the company will showcase this wide range of products at booth 234 in the upcoming SLAS 2012 conference and exhibition hosted by the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening. The event will be held at the San Diego Convention Center in California from 4 to 8 February 2012, with the exhibition hall open from 6 to 7 February 2012.</p>

<p>The Green Drive currently is available in two sizes, the G16x series and G25x series. The G16x series features a shaft (magnets) with a 16mm diameter and the G25x a 25mm shaft diameter. The G16x series is 66mm wide and high, while the G25x series is 88mm wide and high. Each has varying lengths depending on the required effective stroke.</p>

The working area of the F5200N measures 200 mm x 200 mm and features a resolution accuracy of 0.001 mm. Its teach pendant enables it to support windows compatible dispensing software, and allows it to store as well as retrieve a maximum of 100 programs or 400,000 points.</p>
<p>Accuracy and reliability feature strongly in the F5200, which also offers a resolution of 0.001mm/axis based on its micro-stepping motor controlled through USB/RS232 interface.</p>

<p>Offered in two versions, the first version, which is known as type EZS, has been specifically designed to drive screw drives using a rotating screw shaft. It will drive a screw nut that is usually attached to a linear slide. The screw is fitted by inserting it into the blind-hole hollow-shaft of the motor, and attaching it to a clamping set. In addition, screws measuring four diameters from 20 mm to 40 mm can also be used, depending on the size of the frame. The EZS motors have been equipped with special axial angular contact ball bearings, enabling it to effectively absorb high axial thrust.</p>
<p>The second version, which is known as type EZM, has been developed to drive screw drives using driven nuts. It features large flanged hollow shaft that can be used to directly drive flanged spindle nuts.</p>

<p>The new motors accomplish short lengths with the help of an orthocyclic tooth winding system that features a high copper fill factor, delivering around 80 percent more power compared to traditional winding. Both versions are offered in three lengths, two sizes and four spindle pitches (from 10 mm to 32 mm). The motors can also be supplied with liquid cooling and as brake motors. Forced cooling is offered as an option in the EZS models.</p>

<p>Offered in a choice of separate or integrated stepper motor/drive combinations, the all-new H series also comes in seven selectable travel ranges from 20 mm to 300 mm.</p>
<p>Aside from providing extended Z-axis travel with telescopically arranged linear axes, the modular design of the modules also offers a flexible mounting system for XYZ, XY and gantry systems.</p>
<p>The design of the actuator is based on an extruded profile housing that features T-slots, which facilitate optional limit switches, multi-axis actuator as well as customer fixtures. The fixed cover plate is specifically arranged to enable unrestricted carriage travel while offering added protection.</p>

<p>The series also offers a flexible coupling as well as anti-backlash nut arrangement. This ensures that the linear actuators would deliver high stiffness with repeatability at 0.1 microns for the precision grade option and 0.2 microns for the commercial grade option version.</p>
