Exlar Extrak™ Rodless Actuators

January 15, 2009 By Editor Leave a Comment

Chanhassen, MN – The Extrak™ RM and LM Series rodless actuators offer Exlar’s proven roller screw technology or high speed belt drives. With the roller screw driven versions, Exlar claims higher thrust loads and longer life than ball screw driven rodless actuators.

The RM and LM Series offers the choice of motor brand and type – brushless servo, stepper, DC or AC motor. Input transmission options include direct coupling and parallel belt and pulley drive. The rodless actuator’s modular body and platen designs offer multiple mounting methods from a variety of T slots and threaded holes.

The Extrak RM and LM Series actuators are available in 3 popular metric frame sizes (65 mm, 80 mm, and 110 mm) with stroke lengths to 7.5 meters and speeds to over 9 meters per second. The standard product is anodized aluminium with optional protective metal strapping to keep contaminants out. As are all Exlar’s linear actuator solutions, the RM and LM rodless actuators are designed for continuous duty and long life.

Typical applications recomended by Exlar include Automated Assembly, Material Handling, Pick & Place, Gantries and Stage Positioning.
