Haydon Switch and Kerk Motion Merge

★ By Editor Leave a Comment

Haydon Switch and Instrument, Inc., a worldwide leader in motor miniaturization, announces a merger with Kerk Motion Products, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of non-ball lead screw, linear rails, and actuator systems. Together, the two companies will become HaydonKerk Motion Solutions; retaining both Kerk® and Haydon™ product lines and jointly offering the world’s broadest range of linear motion products.

For nearly 50 years, Haydon Switch and Instrument, Inc. has been building electric motors and stepper motor based linear actuators. Located on ten acres in Waterbury, CT, the company’s ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facility supports today’s most efficient technology and manufacturing methods. Following the merger, the Waterbury facility will continue production of HaydonKerk’s line of Haydon™ products, which includes canstack and hybrid stepper-motor actuators, rotary steppers, and LRS motorized rails.

Since 1976, Kerk Motion Products’ internationally patented, anti-backlash designs and materials have provided high accuracy, unsurpassed repeatability, and long life in a full range of motion control applications. HaydonKerk’s line of Kerk® leadscrews, linear rails, and non-motorized actuators will continue to be manufactured at the Hollis, NH facility.
