SCHNEEBERGER has established a production facility for its industry-leading mineral-casting technology in Rock Hill, S.C. This expansion brings the company closer to design engineers, enabling faster and more economical delivery of its mineral cast machine bases.
Production is scheduled to begin onsite by Q4 2025. This strategic investment aligns with SCHNEEBERGER’s key long-term objectives. First of all, the new production facility will enable SCHNEEBERGER to respond more quickly to North American customer needs and deliver tailored solutions promptly.
This expansion also demonstrates SCHNEEBERGER’s commitment to the North American market, representing a crucial step for market growth and more advancing its corporate strategy of local for local. With production sites already established in Europe and China, the addition of the USA facility will complete the company’s global support of mineral cast machine bases.

Finally, by combining advanced technology with a focus on sustainability, SCHNEEBERGER provides essential components and solutions from a single source.
Mineral cast, also known as polymer concrete, leverages SCHNEEBERGER’s 20+ years of casting experience to combine quartz aggregate and industrial-grade epoxy in application-specific recipes, producing machine bases with superior technical properties.
This technology isn’t only energy-efficient but also significantly reduces CO₂ emissions versus traditional machine base materials. Compared to the production of cast iron or steel bases, polymer concrete technology saves about 1.6 tons of CO₂ emissions per ton produced. more supporting its commitment to sustainability, SCHNEEBERGER’s mineral cast products are fully recyclable, and the company ensures certified recycling by taking back these bases to facilitate the process.
With this expansion, SCHNEEBERGER is creating new jobs while promoting sustainable production — a win for its design engineers, the environment, and the region.
“With this additional expansion of core technologies into the North American market, we’re setting new standards in mechanical engineering while maintaining close proximity to [design engineers]. The new location supports the SCHNEEBERGER Group’s global growth strategy and the North American expansion strategy of local for local,” said CEO of the SCHNEEBERGER Group Stefan Hantke.
“Our SCHNEEBERGER strategy of local for local is also being pursued and completed in the field of polymer concrete technology with this important step. From 2026, the design engineers will have full access to the locations in Europe, China, and the USA,” added President and General and Member of the Exec Board George Blaha.
“Expanding production to the USA… strengthens supply chains, creates jobs, and brings exceptional quality and precision closer to where it matters most — the design engineers,” concluded General Manager for North America Linda Aylward.
