New size 17 hybrid linear actuator features enhanced performance

May 25, 2022 By Miles Budimir Leave a Comment

AMETEK Haydon Kerk Pittman, a business unit of AMETEK, announces the availability of its new 43000 Max Series Size 17 single- and double-stack hybrid linear actuators.

Based on the company’s best-selling compact hybrid 43000 motor, the Max Series Size 17 delivers up to a 30% performance enhancement over its predecessor when used with almost all available lead screw options. Available in captive, non-captive, and external linear designs, the upgraded single- and double-stack actuators offer:

  • Resolutions from 0.00006 in. (0.001524 mm) per step to 0.00192 in. (0.048768 mm) per step
  • Thrust of up to 50 lb (222 N) for single-stack and 75 lb (337 N) for double-stack
  • Speeds exceeding 3 in. (7.62 cm) per second for single-stack and 7 in. (17.8 cm) per second for double-stack

The Size 17 hybrid actuator is the first in the Max Series, with additional sizes planned for future release.
