New SMAC LBL25 linear actuators — fast, cost-competitive, and stackable

★ By Lisa Eitel Leave a Comment

SMAC Moving Coil Actuators now sells LBL series linear actuators — price competitive with ball screw and high-cycle-rate air cylinders thanks to a simple no-milling plate design.

The LBL design features flat printed coil and single-piece, screw down magnets. It’s equipped with SMAC proprietary encoder and gives more than 100 million cycle expected life.

Starting with stroke length of 25 mm and 50 mm, the range will extend up to 200 mm.

The LBL series generates peak force 60N and is extremely fast with accelerations over 50G.

Note the LBL can be integrated into Stack electric manifold actuators for OEM multi-actuator stations. The SMAC Stack design does the same thing for actuators that manifolds did for air valves … automating multiple axes with a built-in controller option via CANopen, Ethernet/IP, and EtherCAT.

Stack setups simplify mounting and reduce cabling of multi actuators. It allows easy, quick exchange of units, which reduces down time. For more information, visit www.smac-mca.com
