Nook Industries offers complete line of worm gear screw jacks

July 14, 2015 By Danielle Collins Leave a Comment

Nook Industries, a leading innovator of linear motion components and systems, offers the ActionJac™ series worm gear screw jack product line.

ActionJac models are ruggedly designed and produced in standard styles with load-handling capabilities from ¼ to 100 ton and can be used individually or in multiple arrangements. There are no specific travel lengths and each worm screw jack is built to the customer’s specification.

“ActionJac is one of Nook’s iconic product lines,” said Jeff Naymik, marketing manager at Nook Industries. “Although we have a vast selection of standard jacks available, we can help customers engineer the configurations to best suit their unique applications.”

ActionJac ball screw jacks use a ball screw and nut made from hardened, alloy steel with hardened bearing balls carrying the load between nut and screw. The rolling action reduces friction for smooth and efficient load movement, providing higher speed operation and increased duty cycle.

ActionJac machine screw jacks incorporate an Acme screw with a 2C thread form. With a 20:1 or greater gear ratio, the jacks are considered self-locking. A drive sleeve including the Acme thread form makes an anti-backlash option possible.
