Nook Industries sells precision-rolled metric ballscrews with higher lead accuracies

January 1, 2017 By Lisa Eitel Leave a Comment

Nook Industries, an innovator of linear motion components and systems, now sells a complete line of precision metric ball screw products. The PMBS line is an affordable rolled-ballscrew alternative to expensive ground thread products manufactured overseas. From aerospace to tool-making, the line can move significant loads and masses with great precision. More after the jump.

Features for the product line include linear lead accuracy classes of T10, T7, T5 and T3, which comply with ISO 3408-3 ball screw standards. The line offers both preloaded and non-preloaded ball nuts in multiple configurations, along with flanged, V-threaded and cylindrical keyed mounting options to meet the demand of nearly every application. All ball nuts are precision ground and engineered to operate with precision-rolled ball screws or precision-ground (T3) ball screws. Screw diameters range from 12-40 millimeters. All products feature assembly interchangeability to other manufacturers.

The PMBS line features accessories that include metric and bearing mounts, standard end machine codes to support metric-bearing mounts and fixed-flanged mounts.

Headquartered in Cleveland, Nook Industries is an ISO9001:2008- and AS9100C-registered company that provides controlled motion solutions in a wide range of industries including transportation, medical/diagnostics, paper, chemical, food/beverage, solar/aerospace, entertainment and communications markets. For more than 45 years, Nook has provided comprehensive engineering, design and analysis in providing the highest quality linear motion manufacturing solutions on the market today.
