U.S. Tsubaki debuts new Zip Chain Linear Actuator

December 10, 2020 By Miles Budimir Leave a Comment

U.S. Tsubaki has launched its new Zip Chain Actuator. The Tsubaki Zip Chain Actuator is a revolutionary electric linear actuator that provides high speeds and multi-point stopping in a compact footprint.

The Tsubaki Zip Chain Actuator is a linear actuator that “zips” together specially segmented chain using a custom designed sprocket. This “zipping” action creates a rigid actuating arm for use in push-pull applications that require high speeds, long lifetimes, small footprints, and/or high precision.

Up to now, engineers have been limited to using pneumatic/hydraulic cylinders, or large, bulky screw-style electrical actuators. Tsubaki has revolutionized the linear actuation industry by offering a compact, high-speed electric actuator that can replace pneumatic, hydraulic, and traditional electronic actuators. The Zip Chain Actuator offers higher speed, longer lifetime, multi-stop positioning, and efficient power transfer, all in a compact footprint that can make previously impractical applications possible.

U.S. Tsubaki offers a wide selection of electrical actuators, both Zip Chain and screw-style, designed to fit the needs of any application.
