E. Longmeadow, MA – New “Slipstream” Series 1 linear stages are available from LM76, Inc. These compact linear stages feature 0.2 mm/300 mm accuracy and 0.1 mm repeatability. Available in travel lengths to 6 meters these easy to install precision stages have “T-Slots” on three sides for installation and/or accessories. The “Slipstream” linear stages are ideal for: Robotics, pick-and-place, assembly, packaging, sampling, testing and other precision positioning applications.
Motor options for “Slipstream” linear stages include a NEMA 23 Stepper, and a 100 W or 200 W servo-motor with encoder. Motors can be mounted on the left or right side and a fail-safe brake is available as an option. Mounting configurations include: X, Y, and Z axes, and gantries
Stock “Off-the-Shelf” travel lengths to 3 meters are shipped in less than 2 weeks. Steel precision profile rails handle dynamic loads to 22.3 KN, and the 50 mm wide, steel reinforced polyurethane timing belt features a max belt strength @3000 rpm of 1300 N for long life in high duty cycle applications.
On the LM76 Web site 3D CAD drawings of the “Slipstream” linear stages can be downloaded for easy integration of the positioning stages into new and existing applications. Stainless steel models of these compact, low profile (83 mm wide x 73 mm high) stages are also available.
