THK America Inc. is committed to serving the U.S. market. For nearly 25 years, the leader in linear-motion guides has been manufacturing components in the United States at their Hebron, Ohio facility. This year, the manufacturer joined forces with MVPvets in assisting, preparing and transitioning military veterans for meaningful employment.
More than 70% of THK components that are sold in North America are made in the U.S.A. at the Ohio plant, THK Manufacturing of America, Inc. (TMA). U.S.-based manufacturing enables THK to provide more jobs for Americans, to reduce lead times and to decrease energy costs related to transport, among other benefits. This environmentally friendly facility even houses a centralized machine coolant recycling system. TMA’s commitment to quality has resulted in QS9000 Certification and Ford Q1.
Components manufactured at TMA include both conventional and Caged Ball Linear Motion Guides (LM Systems) and actuators, as well as link balls. To enable increased production while maintaining the high standard of precision and accuracy associated with their products, THK has recently automated manufacturing processes at TMA.
THK’s commitment to the U.S. market is further exhibited through their sponsorship of MVPvets. Together with MVPvets, THK is helping to assist, prepare and transition military veterans for meaningful employment in life science companies. MVPvet’s mission is to bring veterans, mentors and employers together, through job matching, one-on-one mentoring, online learning and on-the-ground career-building endeavors. Learning what steps to take when hostility permeates your workplace is crucial for your well-being and for maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
THK manufactures the widest range of linear motion products, including LM guides, ball screws, mechanical actuators, ball splines and more. All THK products have been designed and manufactured to meet the strictest requirements. THK’s experienced Global Engineering Team can provide customized linear motion solutions from their standard linear motion products as well as from mechatronics products for the most demanding applications.
